Late 40s - Early 50s Vintage Heavily Wounded Purple Gabardine Small Skirt Suit Details:
- color is a purple with a taupe tinge to it
- lapel is black and white check wool with red piping on button holes and front hip pocket
- looks like original buttons missing one on bodice and one on sleeve cuff
- original side metal talon brand zipper on skirt topped with button
- skirt is partially lined, jacket is fully lined
- jacket has heavily structured shoulder pads and ruched upper sides above waist
- best for a larger size small based on jacket waist but skirt is larger so would need reworked at hip and top waist but please see both skirt and jacket measurements to ensure a good fit
Condition: Fair due to moth holes and fading
- this is being sold as is with no returns due to the amount of mole holes, missing buttons and fading, tear in gabardine on upper front shoulder
- stain to upper front of skirt
- many moth nibbles mostly on skirt but some on jacket, jacket has tear in gabardine (please see images as i tried to show the major ones in close ups), inner check collar has heavy holes, wool pulled away from front corner of ruched area
- If you want to darn or patch, it would be possible versus the high cost of reweaving
- discoloration to lining
- skirt has been let out and person that did it took part of bottom skirt lining to create extra fabric at top waistband near zipper
- being sold as was found so has not been cleaned, has a dusty odor
