Vintage 60s Cream Silk Rainbow Ribbon Christian Dior Turban Hat Details:
- oodles of folded slub silk fabric with velveteen ribbons folded into the folds
- 7 colors of ribbons including bubble gum pink, raspberry, 3 shades of green, a merlot red, orange and taupe
- shown on me to give idea of how it looks on a person and shown in natural light in this photo and in 7th image
- fully lined
- fits a variety of sizes due to design
Material: silk slub I believe though no fabric to test for sure though it glows like silk and velveteen ribbons
Decade: 1960s
Brands/tags: Christian Dior Chapeaux Paris - New York, Union Label Made in USA under Dior label
Condition: Very good
- most of the ribbons have been reattached as the glue had deteriorated since the 60s (this was seriously a labor of love with time)
- a handful of small glue marks on fabric shown in images but all blend well due to amount of turban folds
- one small hole next to a green ribbon where it looks like the ribbon had pulled away from it and only noticed when shifted the turban for photographing
- a handful of spots where the silk has a bit of dinge to the heavier slubbed areas and inner lining has slight discoloration probably from makeup
- Presents beautifully in person
Measurements:
Crown depth - 6.75" approximately
Circumference - 22.5" at inner hat edge
7.5" side to side X 8" front to back approximately depending on how the turban is tilted back or forward
Shipping: Once a package leaves my hands with USPS or UPS it is out of my control. I do not refund if packages are lost in the mail or do not arrive in the expected time as this is beyond my control. I try to ship the day of an order or the next day if ordered Sunday - Friday but must wait until Monday to ship packages ordered Saturday or Sunday.
