50s Vintage XS Ivory Blush Pink Heart Bodice Full Circle Lace Wedding Dress Details:
- tea length with a dropped waist and short sleeves
- flat scalloped ivory lace pattern over 2 layers of tulle (middle layer blush pink, bottom layer ivory) with ivory taffeta full circle skirt
- bodice features blush pink cross over pleats that double over to make a slightly pinker center bodice heart pattern with strapless sweetheart underdress bodice
- sold at Halle Brothers Department Store in Cleveland and made by Cahill Ltd. Beverly Hills
- center back metal Talon brand zipper topped with hook and eyes along with lower hook and eyes to keep dress from straining against zipper
- synthetic taffeta underdress with synthetic tulle
- dress will have to be steamed carefully when arrives after shipping
- meant for a bullet bra undergarment
- a very small crinoline was used for images not included so this will need a crinoline to create the skirt width desired
- shown with studio lighting in main images but also shown in natural light to show the variation of color depending on how lit
- shown on original bride that wore the gown for her wedding in the 50s
- best for a smaller size XS but please base purchase off of actual measurements
Condition: Good (due to optional cleaning)
- 2 invisible thread mends to outer ivory lace both shown in image with hand under to show (I looked over the lace and netting in great detail but there is a chance I could have missed a small hole)
- bottom taffeta layer has frayed edge but may be intentional to help stand out
- one small spot on sleeve pointed to in image
- one small lace hole in back bottom center bodice where hook and eye caught pointed to in image
- taffeta underskirt has some slight discolorations shown in image likely from steaming process
- some light darkening to the very bottom layer of tulle but all gets lost like all other imperfections due to the volume of material
- I have not cleaned this and will leave it up to the new owner as I do not have a dry cleaner in my semi rural area that is comfortable with vintage but no odors
- presents incredibly beautiful in person
