50s Vintage XS Small Green Wool Knit Sweater Skirt Suit Details:
- 2 piece matching set includes top and skirt
- 100% wool with off white angora edged peter pan collar
- knit waistband for sweater hem and elastic sewn into waistband of skirt still holds elasticity
- top is a raglan batwing meant to be quite bloused to create a smaller waist ratio visually
- color is somewhere between a pine green and a forest green (shown in studio lighting as well as natural light)
- vertical line design and 3/4 sleeve
- small back Crown brand zipper
- advertisement for Ann Adams from 50s continually boasted that the skirts could be shorted in 5 minutes easily at the hem
- shown in last image with a brown wide leather cinch belt available separately for purchase
- best for a size XS up to a smaller size small but please see all measurements to ensure a good fit
Condition: Very Good
- 6 mends (one on skirt front, 5 on top including 2 to collar, 1 on knit that connects bodice to sleeve, 2 to front) all pointed to in images
- original belt was not stored in a drawer and suffered fade, hardening and a good amount of moth damage but I can include in purchase if you would like so let me know
- has not been cleaned but no odors to note or any discolorations
