Vintage Late 50s Black Green Zig Zag Single Breasted 45L Suit Details:
- color is a black as the main fabric with a zig zag weave of emerald green
- 3 button single breast jacket in a size 45L with a decent shoulder padding built in
- flap front pockets, 1 inner pocket
- single breasted 2 button with shoulder padding
- 3 button cuff originally but uppermost button missing on each arm
- single center vent
- trousers have front pleats, back pockets, fish mouth waist band, side slit pockets, watch pocket, metal Waldee center zip and slide latch hook at top
- narrow notched lapel jacket
- jacket is partially lined
- trousers are an average length and have been fully let out at waist
- best for a 45L in jacket and trousers are 40" at waist with an average length but please base purchase off of actual measurements compared to a similar garment that fits well (likely was originally a 44L)
- shirt and tie shown not included but sold separately
Material: rayon/poly blend possibly as no wool for sure but not positive on actual suit material, acetate lining
Decade: Late 1950s into very early 60s
Brand/Tags: Robert Hall, Union tag that dates to 61 or earlier
Condition: Good (needs a professional pressing optionally)
- pants have been fully let out in the waist and seat so much that the seat shows some of the seam serging on the outside along with some small threads on the inner legs where the thighs were also let out
- as previously mentioned one cuff button missing from each sleeve in same place
- inner pant cuff has had a strip removed to place elsewhere it seems so these could not be made longer and still be turned up but the possibility of loosing the turned cuff and being longer is there (approximately 2.5" could be gained in length)
- jacket has been let out as well along with sleeves being let out as much as they will go
- cleaned but could use a professional pressing
