This Tobi sweater is truly one of the sexiest of their entire line meant to be worn in the evening. A 1953 advertisement is included to show how the shirt was originally worn and because I love vintage ads.
Closure - 1 snap at back neck collar
Material: 100% rayon boucle knit, rayon lace, rhinestones, faux pearls, cotton lace trim
Decade: 1953-1954 specifically
Brand/Tags: An Original by Tobi of California | Reg. U.S. Pat. Office. It is clean and ready to wear.
Condition: Very good to excellent - the rhinestones are dulled in some spots and pearls have small spots of pearl shimmer missing. The elastic bands in the waist knit may be lightly stretched out but after seeing the advertisement of how it was meant to be worn I believe it is meant to be exactly how it is. The pearls were removed and restrung after cleaning.
Measurements: (taken flat and doubled when needed)
Bust - 36" (edge of back knit bouclé edge to edge at bottom of arm hole)
Waist - 28" - where lace and knit meets
Bottom Hem of Knit- 29"
Top Shoulder to Waist Lace/Knit Seam - 15.75"
Center Bottom of Collar to Bottom Knit Hem - 17.5"
