Vintage 40s Brown Lace Evening Dress XXS XS Details:
- that lace train!
- train bustles in U shop pattern to accentuate the back side and hangs lower than dress to trail on ground
- green grosgrain ribbon accents
- 25 delicate lace covered back buttons
- illusion bodice
- strong shoulder pad silhouette with a fitted main dress body
- sleeves are lace and cuffs close with small talon zippers for a fully fitted cuff
- lace is a milk chocolate color backed by beige silk for an illusion look
- post WWII dress due to Victory Talon zipper
- an example of fine evening wear from the period

Closure - all of those beautiful back buttons, side Victory Talon zipper with cuff zippers
Decade - True vintage 1940s
Material - silk lining with rayon lace
Label - I. Imagnin & Co Importers
Condition - very good condition. There are some old mends to the lace throughout that are not noticeable unless pointed out. There are minor breaks in the lace throughout. There is a small seam repair to the inner silk dress lining above the label and at the slit in the back bottom of the skirt where the seam popped. There is a small stain on the bottom of the inner silk lining. This cannot be seen when worn. In the detail picture I show 8 areas of lace repair and small holes in the lace.
